AH… THE HOLY DARK

Ah… the holy dark is wildly,
laughingly creative
in the light that shines
through people’s faces,
eyes, fingers and toes.

Some women shine like shekels,
ancient coins young with Light:
that mysterious soul,
this child, that young happening.

An old need stirs:
the unfulfilled and shrunken development
cries out its whys… wonders its wondering,
complains until the heart whispers,
‘Wonders are slipping by unnoticed.
The miracle is right now uncelebrated.’

So the gates slide open
and the learning goes on,
ripping open belly, heart,
expanding mind with silver rivulets,
with naked shivers, with Love’s creative surge…
with the tender breath
of softly spoken secrets.

WALK SOFTLY

Walk softly
with a clear mind
and open heart.
Let your Love overflow
as you are able,
for there is no more needed thing
in this world.
Let the winds comfort you
and inspire you to,
with eyes open,
and ears open —
walk that path
only the wind knows.

Such beautiful words, Blake. On a rainy late summer’s night in Ontario, alone with the call of the loons on the lake, you’ve taken me straight to Yes.
